CHERI CRAUSE, CSA
Real Estate Agent
Certified Senior Advisor
former Certified Financial Planner
Cheri is a real estate agent with Royal
LePage Coast Capital Realty, a real estate investor, and a former independent,
certified financial planner. She relies almost exclusively on referrals (and the odd
seminar) to expand her practice.
Cheri has been involved in the financial services industry since 1979. She
started out doing administrative work for a life insurance agent, and
began doing personal and estate tax returns two years later. In 1987, she
expanded her offering to include the sale of mutual funds. During the 1980's,
she was also involved in farm estate planning in Saskatchewan.
In 1990, Cheri moved to Victoria where she began building and expanding her
business and skills. Her income tax preparation business was particularly
successful, and at its peak, she was doing approximately 800 personal tax returns a year.
She has now eliminated the investment and financial planning aspects of her business, preferring to
concentrate on real estate.
Cheri is a former Certified Financial Planner (CFP),
and a current Certified Senior Advisor (CSA). She is on the faculty of the Canadian
Academy of Senior Advisors, training other professionals on the health, social
and financial aspects of aging.
Cheri has three children. She lives with her partner, Rick
Hoogendoorn.

RICK HOOGENDOORN, CSA
Real Estate Agent
Certified Senior Advisor
Rick Hoogendoorn is a real estate
agent with Royal LePage Coast Capital Realty, a real estate investor, and a
Certified Senior Advisor. In 2007, he was named as Canada's first Certified
Senior Advisor of the Year for his work in helping to make Victoria a more
senior-friendly city.
Before becoming a
real estate agent, Rick was a real estate investor, an insurance agent, and an
investment and personal financial advisor. However, he began his career as a
television news and sports reporter in Vancouver.
Rick volunteers on the the board of the
Family Caregivers' Network, an organization dedicated to providing education,
resources, and non-financial support to unpaid family caregivers in the Greater
Victoria area. He is also on the executive of the South Vancouver Island
Classics' Soccer Association. When he is not selling houses, chances are you
will find him on a soccer field somewhere in Greater Victoria.

BRENDA & RICHARD JACQUES
Real Estate Agents
Richard and Brenda Jacques have almost 40 years of experience as top producing
real estate agents. Richard has 12 years experience as a volunteer firefighter,
while Brenda is an artist, and a member of the Canadian Federation of Artists.
She is also a 4th generation Victoria resident.
Over
the years, Richard and Brenda have built their real estate practice primarily
through referrals.
They
are well known in central Alberta, and love helping Albertans relocate to the
sunny climes of Vancouver Island.
